I am Back!

Hello! I am back on and blogging, finally!

My family has had a tragic and devastating couple of months. My Grandfather broke his hip and with the events that followed my Grandmothers broken hip I was terrified. He made it through his surgery with flying colors. He had to stay at a rehab facility while recovering. The kids and I made a few visits to him and he was joking around and in great spirits. Not even a week after his hip surgery my 61 year old Uncle Darryl (my Grandfathers only son and my Mothers only brother) unexpectedly passed away. He was at the doctors office for a stress test, fainted and they couldn't get a heart beat. Twelve days later my Grandfather passed away. He was 89 years old. He definitely had a full life but I was still shocked by how fast it happened. Two weeks earlier he was wrestling with Carsyn and Hayden on the floor. Uncle Darryl's death felt so unfair, he was one of the best people I know. They were both very loving, caring and giving individuals and will be greatly missed. Luckily we were able to see Uncle Darryl a few days before he died. He was out visiting from Bainbridge Island after my Grandfathers surgery.

It has taken me a while to feel OK about truly moving on and getting over all of the small regrets. But each day is better and they will never be forgotten. My heart goes out to my Mom and Dad, Aunt Deenie and cousins Dean and Drew, I love you!
