The Garage!

This last week we have been doing a lot of playing in the garage. We turn our little space heater on and play. Carsyn started basketball last week (pictures to come) so we have been doing some basketball practicing as well. I am too big of a wimp to go outside for too long. It has been too cold. BRRRRRR!!

While Carsyn is in school Hayden and I have been cranking the music, riding scooters, kicking the soccer ball, playing basketball and with the dump truck in the the garage. Whew!!

Here are some photos of Hayden in the dump truck.

Spirit Week!

This past week Carsyn's school had Spirit Week. I was so excited that Carsyn would go along with it. I know when I was a kid I was kind of shy and would be too embarrassed to wear some of the things Carsyn wore.

Last but not least...

We weren't able to get together with Russ and Brandy on Christmas so we had them over the weekend after to exchange gifts with little Russ and the kids. The kids had so much fun playing with Russ and it was nice to visit with Brandy and Russ. Here are a couple photos from the day.

Brandy and little Russ.

The kids opening their presents.

Smiley and Jacque had ordered the kids and Irene's gifts online and with all of the snow the packages didn't make it in time for Christmas. We ended up doing a brunch at Irene's house a week after Christmas and it was like Christmas all over again. Here are a few photos from the day.
Carsyn opening some silky princess nightgowns.

Alyvia and Kaitlyn.
Hayden opening his gift.

I had to include this picture even though Tony's mouth is open, just to prove that Tony was actually around this Christmas. I think this is the only picture I took of him this holiday, oops!!

Christmas at Grandmas!

After breakfast and an afternoon at my parents house we headed over to Tony's mom's house for an early dinner. We had some yummy food and were able to visit with all of Tony's family. The kids played and we were able to play some games with just the adults which was a lot of fun.

I got a few photos of the kids opening even more presents!!!
Here is Hayden, with help from his cousins Brendan and Kristoffer, opening some animals from Grandma.
Carsyn with her new pink chenille bathrobe from Grandma.
Alyvia getting in on some present opening.
Kaitlyn and Jacque.

Smiley, Kim and Irene.

Brandon and Brieanne.

After dinner all the kids did some night sledding. What a fun way to end a great Christmas!!

Christmas Breakfast!

After the morning at our house we headed to my Mom and Dad's house for breakfast. My Dad made an awesome breakfast. Jeni, Cory and Nina came over as well and we relaxed, visited and opened presents. The kids received a couple new games and some card games. So we basically hung out and played.
I didn't actually take any photos until after Jeni and her family left, oops!! But I did get some cute ones of my Mom and the kids.
I like this first one because you can see my Mom's collection of snowmen and trees she has one her piano, they are so cute.

Thanks Mom and Dad for a great breakfast and for all of the fabulous gifts!!

Christmas morning 2008!

Actually, this first picture is of Carsyn on Christmas Eve. I couldn't get Hayden to pose but they were both so excited for Christmas. They wanted to wear Christmas colors, red and green. We ended up having a great Christmas Eve. We basically stayed at home and took care of business. The kids helped with last minute wrapping along with making spritz cookies for Santa. I am bummed that I didn't take any photos this year of Santa's plate with the notes and pictures the kids made for him. Tony's Dad came over for a nice visit and to exchange gifts. The kids were also able to open one present each, which is always pajamas.

They have this tradition that started last year that they would sleep in Carsyn's bed Christmas Eve. It is so cute even though Hayden hasn't made it through the whole night yet. Last year he wanted to sleep with Carsyn because the idea of some strange man coming down his chimney scared him and he thought Carsyn would protect him. And Carsyn was the one who wanted Hayden out of her bed. This year Hayden woke up early in the morning and wanted to get in his bed, he always sleeps best in his own bed.
Christmas morning the kids were so excited. They couldn't believe all the presents that magically appeared under the tree while they slept.
The kids ready to open.

Tearing into the presents.

It was a great Christmas morning. Irene actually came up for coffee and watched the kids open. After we got ready then we were headed to Poppy and Mamaw's house for breakfast.

Snow, snow and more snow!!

I know I am a little late but I still wanted to share these photos of the kids enjoying our crazy amount of snow. I actually didn't take too many photos at the height of the snow, by that time I was pretty much over the snow. It is fun at first but when it traps you in your home it gets old quick. We ended up getting probably a couple feet of snow. WOW!!!

Here are some photos of the first night it snowed. The kids, and Tony, were so excited they had to get out in it and play. Tony actually took them around the neighborhood in the sled. Tony is like a kid when it snows its really cute.

The next day the kids had a blast sledding down the side of our house. This was before the big snow fall. I was trying to get a photo of the kids for our Christmas card before the big storm came.
This was the winner!! They were having so much fun! I actually got taken out just before this photo by the kids friend Teagan. That is why they have such big smiles.

This was the first day it really started coming down. We woke up to like 10 inches of snow. It is really hard to get good shots showing how much snow there was it was really crazy. It snowed hard all day long.
Here are the kids practically knee deep in our driveway and loving it.

We decided to take a walk through the neighborhood and of course our first stop was Grandmas house. Irene got out the yard stick to try and measure the snow.

Then we headed down to the park. Look at all the snow on the trees it really was beautiful.

When we got to the park there was another family there that had been working on a sledding track. It was kind of hard to get any speed since there was so much powdery snow, it really needed to get packed down.
Here is Carsyn trying it out. She actually got going pretty well. There were a couple of dogs (on leashes) there so Hayden stayed close to me and wouldn't try sledding.
Look at that smile!!
The kids checking out their trail in the woods.
Some later photos of our deck.
Look at the snow on that chair, amazing.
