Part of the small list of school supplies we were asked to bring was $5.00 worth of small treasures, from the dollar store. So every day on the way to school she says, "maybe today we get to pick a small treasure." :) And so far every day after school she says, "we didn't get to pick a treasure yet." :( She hasn't yet been a ball of information on what they did do at school. According to Carsyn the day entails recess and snack.... Sounds like a good 2 1/2 hours to me. She did bring home some coloring projects and papers on the letter A. She also learned to count to 10 in Spanish, pretty cool!
She is always happy when I drop her off but also excited to come home after school is out.
Poor Hayden the first day of school on the way to drop Carsyn off he started bawling. He is very attached to Carsyn. He pretty much follows her around and copies what she does. If Carsyn wants something, so does Hayden. So if Carsyn does something or goes somewhere, like school, Hayden is devastated if he can't do it or go. All in all I think he actually had a really good week. We basically did a lot of playing, pretty much going to every park in town. It seems like he is talking more and also loving my undivided attention. Don't get me wrong he is always very excited to go pick up Carsyn.
Here are some photos before leaving for school. Of course we had to include Hayden....
Carsyn with her new High School Musical backpack that she picked out....
Hayden was all smiles before he realized he wasn't actually going to school....
