Yellowstone Wildlife!

At the end of June we took a road trip to Bozeman, Montana for Tony's cousins daughter, Kaitlyn's, wedding. We hadn't been to Montana for years so we thought it would be a great reason to go. With Colton less than 3 months old we weren't sure how it would go but it went great! All of the kids did fabulous, not too much whining from the big kids and pretty much just eating and sleeping from the little guy.

We stayed in Bozeman for a couple days and then headed down to Yellowstone. Since West Yellowstone was only 80 miles away it wasn't too far to go. The kids didn't really know what to expect. I think Hayden thought is was like a zoo and wanted to see animals right away which luckily we did.

Here are some of the animals we saw during the 2 days we drove through Yellowstone. I actually uploaded these photos backwards, so the first ones you see are from the end of our trip and the last ones are the first animals we saw.

The Elk were everywhere at Mammoth Hot Springs.

Crossing right in front of us.

It's hard to tell but this was a picture of a Mama and Baby Grizzly Bear.

More Elk off the roadway.

Buffalo

Me with the kids, you can see a tiny Buffalo in the distance.

Tony and Hayden getting a closer look at a Buffalo.
Carsyn preferred checking it out from the inside of the car. (smart girl)

More Buffalo.
