Hayden's first day of Preshcool!

I signed Hayden up for Preschool this year. He was all excited to go. He was bummed when he found out he wasn't riding the bus but I told him he was riding the mama bus and that seemed to satisfy him.
As I mentioned before Hayden is in a morning class and Carsyn is in afternoon Kindergarten which gives me no free time. But it gives each kid some special alone time with me and without me.

I know this looks really sweet, Hayden smiling sitting there playing with play dough. Well it took about 15 minutes to get him to sit down. They have you take your kid to the bathroom when you get to school and wash there hands, that went OK. As we were walking to class Hayden started saying he wanted to go home and wanted to hold my hand. This is so different than Carsyn, she was always like see you later. Hayden has always been my little shy guy. Anyway, at the beginning of class they have a couple of tables set up while the kids are coming in for them to work on, coloring, sticker books, play dough, etc. He finally warmed up enough to sit down and play and he liked it.

Hayden and Carsyn's cousin Alyvia is class with Hayden which is good for both of them. I think it helps a bit to see a familiar face. Alyvia was more like Carsyn, she just jumped right in and told Jacque she would see her later.

Here is Carsyn and Alyvia coloring. Carsyn always wants to come into Hayden's class, I think she misses the days of just coloring and playing. Kindergarten is a little more work and less play.

I would of thought things would get easier as far as dropping Hayden off goes but he still is saying he wants to go home. But everyday I pick him up he has a big smile on his face and says he had fun. He is always proud of the work he brings home. I think it will get better, he is still so young and he is making new friends!
