Basketball!

We signed Carsyn up for basketball with the Y. Her little friend Tatum had played before and really wanted Carsyn on her team. Of course once Carsyn found out her friend was playing and she was all in. The sad thing is we really didn't work much with Carsyn before her first practice, the coach practically had a clean slate to work with. I know I say this all of the time but I was so proud of her. She didn't know what she was doing and she was clearly embarrassed at times but she never gave up, never quit she just kept trying.
Luckily, her team had a great coach. They only had one practice before the game and he really went over everything they needed to know. We worked with Carsyn at home but she isn't really too competitive at this age I am sure that will come with time. She is more interested in being around her friends and making new friends.
Carsyn improved so much from the beginning of the season. She was dribbling and walking/running at the same time. She loved being on defense and was the star passer on her team. All in all we were so proud of her this year. When the weather gets a little better we can work more outside and see if she is up for it again next year. It was really funny she had mentioned that she didn't want to play when she got older and we asked her why and she said that she didn't want to be on TV. We just cracked up.
