Race Track!

There is a midget race track in Monroe and they had an open day where you could come down and get in the gear and do some laps around the track. (the name doesn't sound politically correct but I am sure that's what it's called) The kids were so excited! It was a really long wait but we were able to go home for a few hours and come back. It was really neat they asked the kids some questions about themselves and then when it was their turn to drive the track they announced them to everyone. Stuff like name, age, school, hobbies, etc. Right before it was time for them to get in the cars they had some kids that actually race do a fast race around the track one kid got a little squirrley and crashed into the wall. The kids were a little freaked out after that. Carsyn was still game to do it but Hayden was a no go. He started trying to get into the car but the car was too little and a really tight squeeze and it just scared him even more. We ended up just taking some photos of him in the car and we all waited and then watched Carsyn race around the track. She did awesome. Of course I was a little nervous. A couple kids drove through the grass in the middle of the track and did some other goofy things which was pretty funny. I just didn't want Carsyn to be embarrassed. But like I said she was fabulous!!
