Junior Cheer!!

After being out of school for a week with the snow we were all anxious to get back into our normal routine.  Well, maybe not all of us.  The kids were to have Spirit week the week of the snow so it got pushed to this week.  Every day they had a theme, sports day, back in time, twin day, toys from home and Bearcat pride.  Of course I didn't get any photos of the kids since we were pretty much running late everyday.  Our week was also filled with Girl Scout cookie sales, since pre-sales are due on the 29th and Carsyn is so close to reaching her goal.  We had cub scouts on Tuesday night, Carsyn had cheer practice on Wednesday night, Thursday was Carsyn's class field trip to the Science Center and homework due, Friday Hayden's homework due and Cheer night at the High School girls basketball game.  It has been a busy week but also a lot of fun!!
Carsyn was so excited for her cheer night at the High School.  She got all decked out in orange and black and was ready to go.

Carsyn in her cheer pose.  Hayden a.k.a. pom-pom head.

Orange and Black attack attack!!  Go Bearcats!!

Sweater on and ready to go!

Peace out pom-pom head.

Carsyn in the middle with her buddy Kallie dragging her along.  She is looking back for her other buddy Campbell that is getting left behind.

Half time and ready to cheer.

I couldn't get a clear shot of Carsyn.

Ready??  OK!!!

On the ground for their wrestling cheer.

Go Bearcats!  Whoo!!

Carsyn did a great job.  I always get a little choked up watching the kids preform and tonight was no exception.  She went out on the floor with confidence and did her thing.  I am so proud!
Once they did their cheers I had to go get her and bring her back to our seats.  It is so funny, they get the cheerleaders to sign the back of their t-shirts like they are celebrities.  Carsyn wanted to be sure to get the Cheerleader that taught her the cheers on Wednesday night.  Unfortunately the Bearcats lost but it was nice to be out as a family and to visit with other family and friends.  It was a great community event.
