Snowmaggedon started in full force on Saturday but the real fun started on Sunday. The kids were very excited to get out and play in the snow. The sleds and neighbors came out and it was time to hit the hills. Poor Colton hadn't been feeling well but we didn't want him to miss out on the first real snow, so we bundled him up and headed out. Colton only lasted a little bit, he sledded a few times with Tony and then Colton and I headed in. Tony and the kids had a blast.
The kids didn't have school on Monday for Martin Luther King Jr day and since the roads were pretty bad out here Tony called in to work and we spent another day full of sledding and igloo making.
We didn't get much snow through Monday night and it actually started to melt a bit. Tony headed to work on Tuesday morning but it started snowing around 8am and basically didn't stop all day. We just got dumped on!! Tracy and I grabbed our coffee and sleds and hit the hills with the kids. Luckily Colton started feeling better still just trying to fight off his nasty cough. This whole time Seattle, at least near Tony's work, has no snow. But I guess the big snow was supposed to hit on Wednesday so Tony's work closed down the job. We got a couple of inches over night and Seattle finally got hit, we are enjoying a nice relaxing snow day with the whole family. Obviously the kids have had no school all week and they are hating it, yeah right!! They LOVE it!!!!
Here are some pictures of the first day of play. My memory card is full so I haven't taken any other pics. I will upload some pics and get some new ones soon!!
