We split from the Grandma's once again. We wanted to go to the Animal Kingdom Park and they wanted to go to Epcot. It was yet again a sweltering day. We got to the park fairly early with plans to spend all day checking out the Animal Kingdom. It was a lot of fun, not quite as many people to deal with which in turn made for shorter lines. One of our favorite things was the Nemo Musical. Unfortunately, Colton slept through it but Carsyn and Hayden loved it. At the end of every scene Hayden would ask if it was over and I would say there was more and he would say oh good!!
On the tram to the park.
We walked into the Oasis Exhibit with birds and different things to see.
Tony and the kids with The Tree of Life in the background.
Waiting in line for It's tough to be a bug. Colton wasn't crazy about this one, he didn't love the glasses and the lights being out but Carsyn and Hayden had a blast.
Tony with Carsyn and Hayden on the Kali River Rapids. Definitely one of the kids favorite rides. They loved getting wet!!
A humongous grasshopper type thing we encountered on the trail.
Lots of animals to see on the Pangani Forest Exploration Trail.
Expedition Everest in the background.
The kids having some fun in the dinosaur part of the park.
Tony, Colton, Carsyn and Hayden on the Triceratops Spin.
Again, it was sweltering but we sat through the afternoon parade, which the kids really enjoyed. Colton really loved seeing all of the characters.
The kids meeting Russell and the dog from Up! So fun.
We headed to the Kilimanjaro Safari right after the parade and didn't have any wait. It was really cool to see the animals up close and personal.
Again, it was a hot one!! Poor kiddo!
Throughout the day the kids participated in the Kids Discovery Club. They stopped at learning stations around the park, where thy participated and learned different things. Each stop they got a stamp in their passbooks and at the end they received a certificate and a free ice cream. The had a blast participating.
All done for the day!!
