Build-A-Bear

Carsyn and Hayden had decided that they wanted to go to Build a Bear for their birthday's. We ended up going on Carsyn's actual birthday. My friend Melissa had taken Carsyn to build a bear before for her birthday but I think she was a little too small to truly appreciate it. I think Melissa and I basically built a bear ourselves, but we had a blast. And Carsyn loves Lucy the bear we built her, she sleeps with her every night. This time the kids were able to pick the stuffed animals they really wanted. Neither one of them actually picked a bear. Carsyn picked "Snazzy Kitty" and Hayden picked a black lab.

Here are the kids stuffing their "bears". They step on a pedal like on a sewing machine while one of the build a bear specialists actually fills the bear. They ask them if they want it firm or snugly. Of course they both wanted snugly.
Once they are stuffed they pick a heart that will be put in their bear.

They ask them to warm the heart up. As you can tell the kids took the job very serious. It was really cute. They had them rub it on different parts of themselves for different reasons the only one I can remember is rub the heart on your knee so they will always need you. They loved it.
After they are all stuffed they headed to the bath to clean their newborn bears. There is a pedal there that shoots air out of the shower heads.
Here are the somewhat finished products. Carsyn picked a snugly sleeper for her cat "Morgan". Hayden had initially picked out a seahawks jersey with a helmet and everything but decided against it. He ended up dressing his dog "Max" in a Huskey T-shirt and jeans. Of course they were also off before we left the mall and haven't been on Max since.

Of course we had to get a photo by the beloved fountain.
