Well, after such a great practice we were just assuming Hayden would come out there and have a blast. Well, that wasn't really the case. As we were getting ready for the game he started saying he didn't want to go and was really whining about it. He decided to wear shorts and I thought I heard it was suppose to be nice out but I was wrong, it was freezing. Basically he didn't want to do anything. He stood out in the outfield with Tony just shivering. We tried to tell him he would warm up a bit if he actually ran a little but that didn't work. He did bat a few times and ran the bases but with little enthusiasm. The next game was even worse. He didn't even want to stand in the outfield and we got him to bat a few times but he didn't want to run bases It was pretty embarrassing.
I think it has been good that Tony has been coaching because he has been distracted by the other kids. I try and tell my self that he is still having a blast at practice and getting better and he will come around as far as games go.
