Zoo!

Carsyn had her end of year field trip to the Woodland Park Zoo. I would have been a chaperone but I wanted Hayden to be able to come and he can't ride the bus. So Hayden and I followed Carsyn's bus to the zoo and met them there. The kids had never road on the carousel so of course it had to be the first thing that they did.

Then we headed to the tropical rainforest. I volunteered in Carsyn's class a few times a month throughout the year and I was always there at the same time as Alexis' mom Lindsey. Lindsey was in charge of Carsyn so we ended up just staying together.

Here are the kids entering the rainforest.

Here they are posing on the gorillas.

Now here they are posing on the hippos.

Carsyn the hippo whisper.
Hayden always gets a little crush on Carsyn's friends. It's usually all about them. Alexis look at this, Alexis come over here, it's pretty cute.

My little monkeys.

Carsyn's class had an end of year project. They were supposed to pick an animal and create a whole presentation for the class. Carsyn decided to pick the giraffe and she did an awesome job, I think she even memorized her sentences. I was very proud. So naturally we had to go check out the giraffes.

The kids taking a much needed break.
The gray/white wolf. Not quite sure which one.

The kids wanted their faces painted but the lady wasn't there so I let them get a little tattoo instead. Carsyn was pretty funny she was asking me if it was going to hurt. So obviously she let her little, unknowing brother go first so she could check it out. Hayden ended up picking a ducky. Not sure why but he was very happy with it. Carsyn picked a little butterfly.

The kids showing off their tattoos.

The bus had to leave fairly early so we were constantly on the move trying to see everything. I was taking Carsyn home with us and we could have stayed longer but we were all beat and we pretty much saw everything. We always have so much fun at the zoo!!
