Fair Days 2009!

The kids were big enough this year to go on almost all of the rides. Hayden was borderline big enough for the hang-glider ride but they were both gun hoe to have this be their first ride. After seeing them loaded on this ride I was having second thoughts, they looked tiny on it. I was a nervous wreck. As I was waiting for the ride to start I noticed a lot of throw-up marks below the ride and I was getting very worried. They ended up having fun and enjoying the ride. Although neither one of them were anxious to ride it again.

Hayden trying on all the army gear-Scary.

The kids waiting in line for a ride.

All smiles on the big slide.

The motorcycles are always a big hit.

Next the swings.

They were able to ride the Ferris wheel with just the two of them. Also, not a good idea. I was so nervous, I kept yelling at them to sit back. I am not a big fan of the Ferris wheel anyway, they don't seem very safe. We should have broke down and bought tickets for Tony to ride. Although the kids did just fine.

We ended up running into Smiley, Jacque and the girls. Carsyn was so excited because now she was able to go on the big kid rides with her big cousins.
Carsyn was dying to go on this ride, I think it was called the big shot. It slowly took you to the top and then you dropped, free fall style to the bottom. This is a photo of Carsyn going up-all smiles. I didn't catch her face when she came down but it there was a look of shock and horror on her face. Poor thing, I think she almost wet her pants. She was done for rides after this one. She just said she didn't feel like going on anymore.
It was a day full of rides and food. We got there in the afternoon and didn't leave til almost 9pm. We got our moneys worth out of the ride bracelets for sure!!

This may shock some of you but we only did the fair one time this year. Once definitely felt like enough, even the kids (and Tony) seemed satisfied.
