Spring Break in Cabo!

We ended up heading to Cabo San Lucas Mexico for Spring Break this year.  We were all so excited to leave our rainy weather behind and head to the sun.

Cabo here we come!!

Carsyn and Colton on the plan to Mexico.

Hayden and Tony.  Hayden was very excited and Tony very tired.  It was a late night packing and an early morning rise. :)

We literally got to our resort, dropped off our bags, put on our swimsuits and headed to the pool.
The kids lounging at the Sunset pool.

Colty and Tony relaxing.  We made it just in time for Happy Hour. ;)

Now this is my idea of a vacation.

Checking out the view.

Love these kids!

We decided to head down to the beach and check it out.

Tony and Colton on the bridge over the main pool.

Before actually getting to the beach the kids wanted to test out the main pool.

I knew you couldn't swim at the resorts beach but I thought they could still put their feet in but I was wrong.  They had someone on duty blowing their whistle and calling you back if you got too close.  The rumor was that some drowned on the beach just a couple weeks ago.  Crazy undertow but beautiful!

Sunset on a long first day!!

Carsyn wanted me to get a shot of her dropping the sand??  Cute picture though.

Our resort-Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach.

More pool time!

Our resort was about 10 minutes out of town but they had a bus that ran every hour to their sister resort right in town.  We have stayed there before and they have a nice calm beach where the kids can swim.

The bus ride to The Rose resort.

The boys hitting the beach.

Carsyn's first order of business, get her hair braided.

We actually met a mother and daughter from Arlington and we hung out with them for the rest of the day and headed back the next afternoon as well.  They were very sweet and got up very early to save extra chairs at the beach and the pool for us.  Carsyn got very attached to the 15 year old daughter and they had a lot of fun together.  She is an only child and really took to Colton and Hayden too.

Another day we headed in to town to walk around, do a little shopping and maybe a boat ride.

Carsyn doing what she loves, shopping.  She was a good sport and tried on some sombreros for me.
Love it!!

Colton getting in on it!

Even Hayden tried on a mini-sombrero for me.  I wouldn't say he was loving it but it was still pretty funny.

Against Carsyn's wishes we ended up heading to the Marina and taking a glass bottom boat ride.  We have done this in the past and she remembers the boat being small and some teenagers rocking it.  Not really how it played out but we twisted her arm and she finally said yes.  They guy driving the boat asked if we wanted to go check out some whales that were breaching but it would be another 45 minutes on the boat and further out in the water and Carsyn started crying no so we nixed that idea.

Tony and Carsyn waiting for the ride to begin.

Colton and Hayden snacking it up before we got out on the water.

Me and Hayden ready to go.

Tony, Colton and an uneasy looking Carsyn ready to lift anchor and take off.

Supposedly this was Denzel Washington's yacht docked in the Marina.  I guess he took a helicopter to somewhere??  I am kind of doubting this story but it was a pretty awesome yacht.

I want to say they call this the window to the Pacific???  I could be wrong but it's pretty cool.

Had to have our family picture with the arch in the background.

Just trying to get a picture of Colton while holding his harm, not trying to hand him my beer. :)

On the right of the cave you can see the outline that is supposed to look like a hitch-hiking boy.

Once we got out in a little more rough water, where the Sea of Cortez meets the Pacific, Carsyn got a little uneasy.

Supposed to look like a witches face.

The sea lions meet the fishing boats as they come back into the marina and actually jump up on the back trying to get some scraps.

Walking back from the Marina to The Rose' resort the kids saw Herbie the bug and wanted their photos with it.

The night before Carsyn's new friend Nicole and her Mom were heading home we took Nicole to dinner with up on the beach.

Carsyn and Nicole.

Hayden kicking back waiting for dinner.

The kids playing on a beached boat.

Colton was getting his groove on and the kids were dying.

Carsyn wanted a picture of her huge plate and tomato rose.

Ice cream sandwiches and relaxing.

Family photo by the fountain at the lobby of the resort.

Swim up service, you can't beat it.

Carsyn doing her gymnastics/dance moves in the kiddie pool.

Colton showing me his moves.

We had so much fun!!  But all good things have to come to an end.  Time to head home!!
