It was going to be our last getaway before the start of school. Irene booked it for the Tues-Thur the week before school was to start. Since Carsyn had her first soccer practice on that Tuesday night Irene ended up taking Hayden over early on Tuesday with Brendan while Carsyn stayed home with me. We had actually planned to go school clothes shopping with my Mom so it worked out great. We were able to shop during the day, make it back for practice at 6pm and leave for Chelan at 8pm. It wasn't so bad we were able to get there about 10:30pm.
The room was awesome. It had two bedrooms, 1 with a king size bed and the other with a queen. Irene gave me and the kids the King and she took the queen. Actually, Carsyn slept with Grandma while Hayden slept in the super comfy enormous king bed with me!! Brendan had a queen size futon which seemed to pretty comfy. The room had the living area along with full kitchen and huge patio overlooking the swimming pool and lake with a sandy beach.
The kids loved it! It would have been perfect if it wasn't so windy but we really did have a blast. The kids and I swam for hours on Wednesday and also played in the sand. We had a late lunch at Campbell's and just snacked on left-overs for dinner. We got up on Thursday morning and had breakfast at Blueberry Hills in Mason which was really good! Went for a drive and came back to the hotel to swim and play until it was time for me to go at about 6:30pm. I left Thurs so that I could work on Friday. Irene brought them back in the late afternoon on Friday. Thanks Irene for such a great vacation!!

We had so much fun in the pool. Once the kids realized that the life jackets would keep them a float they really got into it.
We took a short little train trip around Chelan and by the lake. The guy driving and doing the tour was pretty funny. You can see him in the background flirting with Irene. HeeHeeHee!
