Spring time Snow

Tony woke me up last Friday morning at 5 am to let me know that it had snowed, I peeked out the window and was surprised to see the roads were covered along with everything else.  I called Tony after he left to see how the roads were and he said once he got into town their wasn't any snow but heading out through Maltby it was a blizzard.  There wasn't any snow in Woodinville and of course none in Seattle.
When my alarm went off I called the school hotline to find out the kids were two hours late start.  They also had conferences so they were out early too.  They ended up going for 2 hours total but at least they don't have a snow make up day at the end of the year.
The kids were so excited when they woke up to find that it had snowed and they had a late start to school.  It pretty much snowed all morning long, well at least until about 10am.  Obviously the kids were anxious to get out and play, especially since is the first real snow we've had.  I guess we had to wait until Spring??

Here is a picture of our backyard.

The kids bundled up and having fun!

Once it was time to go inside and get ready for school the snow pretty much started to melt.  The kids seemed satisfied with the play time that they got and didn't even complain about having to go to school.  Of course they were home before we knew it.
They were also excited because Jeni and the girls were coming out and would be at our house when they got home for school.  They had something to look forward to.
